畦編み、段リブ、4本ロックミシン、減らし目という技法を用いて一つのニット帽を製作しています。
当時1940年代ではニット帽子専門工場はなく手袋やジャケットのリブを製作する工場で一緒に編まれていたため、途中までは同じ工程で編まれたのち縫製されていました。
今となっては考えられないほど複雑な工程で作られており、あえて当時と同じように縫製、製作することで風合いや雰囲気を生かしたデザインになっています。
折り返しリブに『HW DOG CO.』とヴィンテージハンドルチェーンミシンで手作業で刺繍されています。
*機械刺繍ではないため、一つ一つ個体差が生じます。

This knit cap is produced based on the 1940s US.NAVY WATCH CAP.
A knit cap is made by using the following techniques: ribbing, corrugated ribbing, 4-strand lockstitching, and reduction of the ribs.
In the 1940s, there were no factories specializing in knitted hats, but they were knitted together in factories that produced ribs for gloves and jackets, so they were knitted and sewn in the same process up to the halfway point.
The process was so complicated that it is unimaginable nowadays, and we dare to sew and produce them in the same way as they were made back then to bring out the texture and atmosphere.
HW DOG CO." is embroidered on the folded ribs by hand with a vintage handle chain sewing machine.
*Because it is not machine embroidery, there will be individual differences one by one.
